Instructions
This website is designed for listening to, downloading, and subscribing to the sermons from Bethel Baptist Church’s Sunday morning worship services.
To listen to the audio files, simply click the link provided in the description of the sermon. The file format is an mp3, and it will take a little time to load. It should open a new window that will play the audio file in QuickTime or a similar program.
To download the audio files, right click on the “click here to listen” link of the sermon you want, and then choose the option to “save as.” You can then save the file on your computer to listen to whenever you want.
To subscribe to these audio files, click on the orange button on the right side of the home page that says “subscribe.” You can then choose which program you want to use to subscribe with. It is recommended to subscribe in iTunes, which will then automatically update every time a new sermon is posted. You will not have to do anything more to listen to these sermons. They will automatically show up in your iTunes (this is called podcasting).
What is a podcast?
Podcasting, a portmanteau of Apple’s “iPod” and “broadcasting”, is a method of publishing files to the Internet, allowing users to subscribe to a feed and receive new files automatically by subscription, usually at no cost. It first became popular in late 2004, used largely for audio files.
Do you need iTunes?
If you currently are not using iTunes (it is recommended for all music organization, playback, and disc copying needs, as well as finding and subscribing to podcasts), get it here. It’s free!
All podcasts of Bethel Baptist Church are free.
